Cohn gained leadership skills as a Student Representative to the George Washington University Board of Trustees and Chairman of the University Program Board. Attending law school three months after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, Alan S. Cohn headed northwest to enroll at the University of Baltimore School of Law. For one year during law school, Alan S. Cohn gained invaluable experience working in the Office of the Attorney Advisor of the Federal Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA).
After completing his Juris Doctor, Alan S. Cohn joined his family’s health care business, which is now called Spectera, Inc. During this time, Alan S. Cohn was selected to join the Board of Review of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene by Maryland Governor William Schaeffer. Building various professional relationships throughout his career, Alan S. Cohn is a member of organizations
such as the National Association of Vision Care Plans and National Association of Dental Plans.
