In addition to offering a wide range of services including primary care, radiology, behavioral health, and nutrition, AbsoluteCARE offers the following support and social groups to its members.
1. Come as You Are. A social group open to gay men age 35 and above who are living with human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV. Members convene once a month and engage in group activities such as bowling, escape rooms, potlucks, fine dining, and more. AbsoluteCARE sponsors the cost and transportation for attendees in need.
2. Life With(out) Substance. A peer support group open to members who have experienced past or present substance use. The group meets twice a month, every second and fourth Thursday, to explore the effects of substance use and the recovery process for individuals, relationships, families, and communities.
3. Peers of Georgia. A support group that is open to AbsoluteCARE members and nonmembers who are living with HIV or has friends and families with HIV. The group meets every fourth Wednesday of the month.
4. One Roof. A peer support group for AbsoluteCARE members living with HIV. It meets every first and third Tuesday of the month, and attendees share their unique backgrounds and experiences with others who are living with HIV.
5. #SheMatters Women’s Health Happy Hour. A casual gathering wherein women living with HIV and their friends and families talk about health and social topics. The meeting, held every third Thursday of the month, is also open to nonmembers of AbsoluteCARE.
