The NAVCP works as a forum for many professionals in the niche and has recently held its 2019 Vision Health Summit. Taking place in Washington, D.C., the event held three sessions over April 14-16, with each of these focusing on a different area of the niche.
The first of these looked at how medical professionals in the vision niche could connect with patients, which is something that the NAVCP predicts will be a trend in 2019, with two speakers highlighting how this is being driven over the past few months.
Alongside this, the event looked at how technology affects the healthcare niche, and whether this improves patient outcomes at both a clinical and diagnostic level. The third session of the Vision Health Summit featured a look at myopia, which has been increasing in recent years, with the session looking at why this may be the case.
The final part of the summit looked at the managed vision area as a whole and why this may not be of importance to some stakeholders.
